Job summary

Responsibilities

Loads and unloads materials onto/from pallets, trucks or customer vehicles and secures with strapping or padding.
Performs load-building to balance loads based on order and vehicle capacity.
Reads work orders or follows instructions to determine materials to move.
Conveys materials using hand trucks, electric dollies, forklifts or other devices.
Opens containers and handles loads with appropriate tools.
Attaches tags/labels for correct identification of items.
Follows safety procedures to prevent injuries and may suggest safety improvements.
Other duties as assigned.
