Job summary

Builders FirstSource, Billings, MT is hiring a Load Builder/Forklift Operator to perform routine loading and unloading of materials in the yard or on-site, assemble loads for delivery, and ensure proper handling and safety. You will read work orders, verify material types, and move items using forklifts, hand trucks, and other equipment while maintaining accurate labeling and ensuring a balanced, safe haul.

The role requires a GED and forklift certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1–2 years of related experience.
• Forklift certification is required.
• Ability to read work orders and identify materials to move.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials from pallets, trucks or vehicles.
• Build loads and secure with straps or padding as needed.
• Follow instructions to determine materials to move and placement.
• Move materials using hand truck, forklift or other device.
• Maintain clean work area and assist machine operators as needed.
