Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a LOA Manager to oversee the Leave and Accommodations department, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and streamlining processes for accuracy and efficiency.

This role will manage LOA programs and RAR teams, serve as the SME on leave laws, and influence payroll and workers' compensation costs while maintaining policy alignment across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field.
• Knowledge of state and federal laws.
• Prior supervisory experience.
• Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate and problem-solve.
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage the LOA programs: FMLA, PLA, Admin, MISC, USERRA, state leave-laws, and accommodations/interactive process.
• Lead LOA and RAR teams to ensure processes and procedures are followed.
• Serve as subject matter expert for leave/accommodation laws.
• Research federal/state laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Distribute required letters and correspondence per laws and procedures.
• Make independent judgments on complex LOA cases affecting payroll and costs.
• Oversee reasonable accommodations for temporary and permanent restrictions.
• Partner with management to resolve LOA/RAR issues and ensure policy compliance.
• Interview and select applicants for LOA/RAR roles.
• Prepare training materials and conduct training sessions as needed.
• Recommend policy changes to improve efficiency.
