Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Commissioning & Startup Analyzer Specialist for the Rio Grande LNG project in Brownsville, Texas. You will plan, coordinate, execute, and document commissioning, startup, testing, calibration, troubleshooting, and turnover activities for process analyzers and related systems.

This field-based role provides technical leadership to ensure analyzer systems are installed, preserved, calibrated, integrated, and ready to support LNG startup and reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with process analyzers in LNG/ petrochemical environments.
• Ability to interpret vendor manuals, P&IDs, and control system interfaces.
• Experience with analyzer data management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support pre-commissioning, lead commissioning and startup activities for online analyzers.
• Develop and execute commissioning plans, SAT procedures, and turnover activities.
• Verify analyzer readiness before process introduction and handover.
• Coordinate preservation, utilities, calibration gas, and field access.
• Perform and witness calibration, validation, loop checks, and communication tests.
• Execute SAT/functional testing for GC, moisture, O2, XEFD analyzers, samples, and CEMS.
• Verify performance against vendor requirements and project specs.
• Ensure records and test data are properly completed.
• Diagnose issues during commissioning and startup; provide daily technical support.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Support interface reviews with ICSS/PCS/ESD and other systems.
• Validate alarms, diagnostics, trends, and handover status.
• Support data management system commissioning (AMADAS or equivalent).
• Review vendor docs, drawings, and commissioning requirements.
• Prepare commissioning procedures, test reports, and turnover packages.
• Coordinate vendors and subcontractors to support schedules.
• Support operations training and final handover.
