Job summary

NextDecade seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor, Mechanical, to lead mechanical maintenance execution across the LNG facility. You will supervise personnel, ensure safety, and maximize equipment availability while coordinating with Electrical, Controls and Plant Services teams.

Responsibilities include developing preventive/corrective maintenance plans, leading turnarounds, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Strong CMMS knowledge and frontline leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all Mechanical Maintenance activities.
• 5+ years LNG Export Facility experience in an Mechanical Maintenance Execution lead role, supervising maintenance personnel, with 10+ years LNG/Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industries in a supervisory position.
• Competent at interpreting Engineering Drawings and Documentation.
• Must have experience with the function testing and inspection of Safety Critical Elements (SCE) to meet Statutory and Federal Regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proactive safety leadership to the Maintenance team.
• Responsible for the safety and wellbeing of execution team, leads by example to set and maintain a positive safety culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
• Coach, Mentor and Lead Maintenance team members to reach their full potential.
• Ensure competent labor availability to cover critical activities.
• Oversee and maintain team training and competency requirements.
• Provide oversight and leadership to all maintenance disciplines as required, not just the Mechanical team, including Controls, Electrical, Mechanical, Plant Services, Specialist Vendors and Contractors upholding the One-Team approach.
• Lead the execution activities for all SCE, Statutory, and Federal Regulations and manage associated compliance processes including deferals, backlog etc.
• Responsible for the Mechanical maintenance execution activities of all breakdown, corrective and preventative maintenance in the facility
• Lead Mechanical teams in the execution of the Major Maintenance of plant and unit shutdowns
• Deliver the required maintenance execution meetings, including HSSE meetings, pre-starts, work allocation tasks, toolboxes etc.
• Attend execution workfronts on a daily basis
• Assess and maintain tooling inventory and calibration equipment as required
