NextDecade is seeking a Maintenance Technician, Mechanical in Brownsville, TX to perform daily mechanical maintenance with safety and quality at the forefront. You will contribute to maximizing equipment availability across the facility and support the Mechanical leadership team during absences or high volume periods.

You will interpret engineering drawings, work with CMMS SAP, and participate in turnarounds and continuous improvement initiatives to uphold safety standards and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience executing mechanical maintenance activities.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings and documentation.
• Proficient with CMMS (SAP or similar).
• Experience developing and reviewing maintenance procedures.
• Knowledge of an MOC process.
• Experience leading during turnarounds.
• LNG mechanical pipefitter experience including fabrication/repair of piping.
• Experience with LNG mechanical systems (turbo machinery, pumps, valves, etc.).
• Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on working approach and safety mindset.
• TWIC eligibility.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrate proactive safety attitude at all times.
• Follow NextDecade lifesaving rules and permitting processes.
• Maintains safety focus and leads by example for the execution team.
• Communicates effectively with Engineering, Operations, Safety, Procurement, Training, Planning, and Contractors.
• Review and support preventative & corrective maintenance plans.
• Review maintenance documentation (WIs, JSAs, SWMMs) and permitning.
• Perform mechanical maintenance on breakdowns, corrective and preventive tasks.
• Provide support to turnarounds as required.
• Complete all assigned activities safely to a high standard.
• Perform Permit Holder requirements for work at RGLNG.
• Maintain training and competency compliance.
• Participate in HSSE meetings, prestarts, tailgates, etc.
