Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a patient care associate responsible for direct and indirect patient support under RN supervision in a clinical setting. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, documenting care, and ensuring safety and cleanliness of patient care areas.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, ability to work in a team, and capability to perform required clinical hours and physical tasks.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent (GED) preferred.
• Evidence of ability to perform as a team member.
• Maintain passing grade in course per LRCC.
• Complete all required clinical hours in accordance with LRCC policy.
• Ability to perform listed physical demands (lifting, bending, standing, etc.).
• Willingness to work in environments with exposure to pathogens, bodily fluids, chemicals, and hazards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care duties for a group of patients under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care needs.
• Perform technical skills and procedures related to patients' physical, mental health, and social needs.
• Document care provided and report observations and basic patient data to the registered nurse.
• Adhere to safe patient handling policy.
• Demonstrate time management skills.
• Maintain patient care areas for cleanliness, safety, and adequate supplies and equipment.
• Receive delegated work in accordance with the five rights of delegation.
• Perform job-specific requirements and other assigned duties.
