Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Rare Per Diem NICU LNA to provide essential nursing assistance on-site at 789 Central Avenue. Responsibilities include basic patient care, vital signs, and collaborating with RNs to support NICU patients in a per diem role.

Position requires a high school diploma and a Basic Life Support certification, with 1–2 years of clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred. Per diem, night shift, onsite work with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Obtains and records Vital Signs and weights per policy.
• Provide hands on patient/client care.
• Grooming and personal care of patient/client.
• Feeds or assists patients with meals and provides additional nourishment and hydration per care plan.
• Assists physician and or licensed nurse with treatments and procedures as needed.
• Toileting and incontinence care for patient/client.
• Reports changes in patient’s condition, patient/family concerns or complaints to charge nurse and or supervisor.

Job Summary

Rare Per Diem NICU LNA Opportunity Salary range $19.47 -$31.00. Pay is based on experience. Summary: Responsible for providing basic nursing care which includes assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, mobility, and toileting. Also responsible for taking vital signs, obtaining specimens, observing and reporting information and basic first aid. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes

Essential Functions

• Obtains and records Vital Signs and weights per policy.

• Collects and bags soiled linen and delivers to dirty linen area.
• Assists physician and or licensed nurse with treatments and procedures as needed.
• Toileting and incontinence care for patient/client.
• Reports changes in patient’s condition, patient/family concerns or complaints to charge nurse and or supervisor.

Licenses and Credentials

Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers required Nursing Assistant [LNA - New Hampshire] - New Hampshire Board of Nursing required

Experience

Clinical/Medical Office/Managed Care Experience 1-2 years preferred or Nursing Assistant Experience 0-1 year preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledgeable in general nursing assistant practices, personal care and basic medical services.
• Knowledgeable of patient rights, privacy and confidentiality.
• Demonstrates sensitivity to needs of diverse patients and employees regarding culture, language, gender and disability.
• Understands and is committed to maintaining highest level of confidentiality and adheres to policies on confidentiality.
• Good communication skills both written and oral.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds independently.
