Job summary

Mass General Brigham seeks a Per Diem patient care assistant to support licensed personnel in daily living activities and vital sign monitoring. You will assist with bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, and mobility, while documenting findings and maintaining EMR entries. Requires BLS, LNA NH license, and 1–2 years in acute care.

Position is onsite at 789 Central Avenue with day shifts; compensation aligns with local pay ranges and includes benefits where applicable.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in Critical Care or Acute Care preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology; strong patient/customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds; proficient in EMR use.

Responsibilities

  • Record vital signs, weights, heights, intake and output within established timeframes.
  • Document all activities in the medical record accurately and timely.
  • Interact professionally with patients and families.

Job Summary

Days 5:30am -6pm Salary Range: $19.47 -$31.09. Pay is based on experience Summary Working under the direction of licensed personnel, assists patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, and mobility. Assists with obtaining and recording patients’ vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.

Essential Functions
  • Accurately obtains and records vital signs, weights, heights, intake, and output within established timeframes and/or as requested.
  • Completes all required documentation in the medical record accurately and timely.
  • Interacts effectively and professionally with patients and their families.
  • Assists patients with basic hygiene and activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
  • Assists patients with turning and repositioning in bed as needed.
  • Assists patients with transfers between the bed, wheelchair, and other designated areas as appropriate.
  • Listens to patients’ health concerns and promptly reports observations or concerns to the nursing staff.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

  • Licenses and Credentials: Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] Nursing Assistant [LNA - New Hampshire] - New Hampshire Board of Nursing required
  • Experience: Experience working in Critical Care, Acute Care 1-2 years preferred
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology.
    • Strong patient/customer service skills.
    • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
    • Proficient computer skills to work efficiently with electronic medical records.
