Job summary
Mass General Brigham is recruiting for a patient care assistant at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. The role supports daily living activities, monitors vitals, and assists with admissions and routine care in a fast-paced clinical setting.
The position requires lifting up to 35 pounds, strong communication, and proficiency with electronic medical records. Sign-on bonus of $750 is offered, with a 36-hour work week and day shifts onsite at 789 Central Avenue, Dover.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required or preferred.
- BLS Certification required.
- LNA - NH licensing preferred or required by state.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living.
- Take and record vital signs, temps, blood pressure, pulse and respiration.
- Document medical records accurately and timely.
- Assist with hygiene tasks, dressing, bathing and feeding.
- Help patients turn and reposition, and assist with transfers to wheelchair.

6:45am -7:15pm - 3days per week.
Summary
Working under the direction of licensed personnel, assists patients with activities of daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and eating. Also assists with taking patients' temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.

- Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs with accuracy and within established time frame and/or as requested.
- Completes all documentation in the medical record as required.
- Interacts with patients and their families effectively.
- Helps patients with a number of basic hygiene tasks. This may include bathing and dressing patients, helping them use the toilet if needed, and feeding them.
- Assist with helping patients turn and reposition themselves in bed as needed and help them move between the bed and a wheelchair if they use one.
- Listens to any health concerns patients may have and report those concerns to the nurses.

Experience
Experience working in patient care/elder care 1-2 years preferred

- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Strong patient/customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Proficient computer skills to work efficiently with electronic medical records.
