Job summary

The University of Minnesota's College of Education and Human Development, Office of Lifelong Learning & Credentialing is seeking an Instructional Designer to lead non-credit course development using Canvas and Destiny One (DORS).

You will coordinate with CEHD units, manage credentialing requests, and help design accessible, learner-centered online learning experiences for adult learners; a strong project management background and experience with LMS/UX are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or combination of related education and experience equal to 4 years.
  • Experience with Canvas, Storyline Articulate, and Parchment.
  • Technical background with accessibility and UX basics.
  • Experience creating user-facing documents (forms, videos, guides).
  • Familiar with Google Office Suite and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead LMS-enabled non-credit course design and content development.
  • Maintain and modify courses, templates, and documentation.
  • Assist with Destiny One registration and analytics across LMSs.
  • Coordinate with CEHD units and stakeholders to manage timelines.
  • Gather content with SMEs to build online learning modules.
  • Provide project updates and timelines with director and PM.
