Job summary

Hydro Extrusions is seeking an experienced maintenance electrician for a night-shift role in Oregon. You will perform electrical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on production machinery, install and modify equipment, and support safety system upgrades in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualified candidates have an Oregon Electrical License, knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, frequency drives, and electrical schematics, plus teamwork and basic math skills.

Qualifications

• Must understand and deliver basic English in a manufacturing setting.
• Basic math skills, calculator use, tape measure reading required.
• Team collaboration in a manufacturing environment is essential.
• Current Oregon Electrical License (LME/Journeyman options) required.
• Troubleshoot automated complex machinery; read electrical schematics; work with PLC/HMI and drives.

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical troubleshooting and repair of production machinery.
• Performs preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and electrical systems.
• Installs new equipment and modifies existing equipment.
• Assists with safety system upgrades of equipment.
• Other duties including mechanical work as needed.

This is a night shift role working four 12-hour shifts per week- 6pm-6am

What you will be doing

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs Electrical Trouble shooting and repair of production machinery
• Performs Preventive Maintenance on Manufacturing equipment and electrical systems
• Installs new equipment and modifies existing equipment.
• Assists with safety system upgrades of equipment
• Other duties as assigned, including mechanical work as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Must be able to understand and deliver basic commands in English
• Must have basic math skills, use a calculator and read a tape measure
• Must be able to work cohesively in a team environment
• Current Oregon Electrical License (Limited Maintenance Electrician, Limited Journeyman Manufacturing Plant Electrician; General Journeyman Electrician)
• Must have troubleshooting ability with automated complex machinery
• Familiar with PLC’s, HMI’s and Frequency Drives
• Familiar with proximity switches, limit switches, light curtains, proximity scanners, and other sensors.
• Proficient with contactors, starters, overloads, and relays.
• Must be able to read electrical schematics.
