Job summary

Ingenix Technologies LLC in Huntsville, AL seeks an Applied AI Engineer to transform technical manuals into structured workflows and training assets. You’ll work with LLMs, NLP, retrieval, and task extraction to convert source material into usable content for training systems.

You will design data structures, evaluate model outputs, and integrate AI-generated results into simulation and training pipelines, while ensuring human review and traceability in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience building applied AI, NLP, or LLM-enabled software in Python.
• Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation, document processing, information extraction, or text classification.
• Ability to evaluate AI outputs carefully and design workflows that keep humans in the loop.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and ability to work with structured and unstructured data.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop software tools for extracting tasks, procedures, entities, requirements, and decision logic from technical documents
• Build LLM, NLP, and retrieval-augmented workflows for working with manuals, procedures, and training content
• Design data structures such as task graphs, step sequences, checklists, and instruction templates
• Evaluate model outputs for accuracy, traceability, consistency, and usefulness to training system developers
• Integrate AI-generated outputs into simulation, XR, or software training pipelines
• Document model behavior, assumptions, limitations, and human-review requirements
