Job summary

The Ohio State University James Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center seeks a Patient and Family Relations Specialist 1 to organize and coordinate LWABC clinic operations, manage patient expectations, and support scheduling and referrals.

Under physician leadership, you will collect and tabulate clinic data, assist with post-visit outreach, and liaise with Integrated Medicine and the Roots and Wings Foundation to leverage philanthropic support for patient care initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 0 years of relevant experience required.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in science or healthcare related field or one year of relevant experience in healthcare environment; oncology, social work, or community health healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize and coordinate LWABC clinic operations and help manage patient expectations.
• Prepare and manage materials; facilitate patient flow during clinic and post-visit outreach to patients.
• Monitor patients due for follow-up; assist with scheduling supportive care visits and referrals to oncology team and external providers.
• Liaise with Integrated Medicine leaders and Roots and Wings Foundation to collaborate on philanthropic gifts and grant activities.
