Job summary

Perkins&Will seeks a Design Principal to lead design teams and strategically direct studio performance on behalf of clients. You will develop compelling design solutions that reflect client values and the firm’s Living Design commitments, while fostering technical excellence and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture or related design field required.
• Architectural license or equivalent accreditation (NCIDQ/LARE) required.
• LEED GA within 6 months of hire or similar Living Design credentials preferred.
• Professional accreditation in Living Design (LEED AP, WELL AP, SITES AP, ILFI) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Leads design teams in delivering high-quality projects that meet building standards and Living Design framework.
• Represents the firm’s commitment to design excellence with clients, projects, and teams in collaboration with studio leaders.
• Participates in project scope, work plans, implementation, and fee negotiations for projects led.
• Mentors design staff and participates in marketing and business development activities.

Education

Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, urban design or related discipline

Architectural license, NCIDQ, or LARE as appropriate

LEED GA within 6 months of hire

Professional accreditation in Living Design (e.g., LEED AP, WELL AP, SITES AP, ILFI Living Future)
