Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Yard Supervisor to oversee all yards receiving processes, ensuring safe, humane handling of livestock and accurate counts, including identification and ante-mortem inspection. The role collaborates with FSIS inspectors, producers, haulers, and plant operations to meet objectives.

Ideal candidates have livestock experience, strong communication skills, basic computer skills, and familiarity with Live Scale. Preference for internal candidates; relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• BS in Animal Science or Agriculture preferred.
• Livestock experience required; swine or cattle preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with Live Scale.

Responsibilities

• Manage all yards receiving processes for safe, humane handling and accurate counts.
• Oversee identification processes including ante-mortem inspection where applicable.
• Coordinate with FSIS inspectors, Producers, Haulers, and Plant Operations.
• Work with Yards and Operations management to meet objectives; supervise Time and Attendance as needed.
