Job summary

H2ajobs is hiring for a farm worker to feed and water livestock, herd animals to pastures or enclosures, and monitor animal health. You will also check animal condition and move livestock between locations, while keeping facilities in good repair.

Housing and meals are employer-provided. Transportation support to town may be available. Experience is required, and a driver's license may be needed within 30 days. You must speak English and comply with biosecurity and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 months of experience in livestock care or related tasks.
• Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 80 pounds.
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
• Must be able to speak English.

Responsibilities

• Feed and water livestock and monitor food and water supplies.
• Herd livestock to pastures, scales, trucks, or other enclosures.
• Examine animals for illness or injury and assess weight/condition.
• Move and segregate livestock by weight, age, color, and condition.
• Maintain barns, pens, yards, and fences; perform snow removal as needed.
