Job summary

Albert Einstein Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support Med/Surg Liver Transplant units on a part-time day schedule in Philadelphia. The PCT will assist with direct and indirect patient care under licensed clinicians, ensuring patient safety and comfort while coordinating with the telehealth and clinical teams.

The role requires strong communication skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and the ability to manage routine duties, patient rounds, and equipment readiness

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care needs.
• Ability to perform delegated tasks within scope of role.
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• Basic computer skills and telehealth familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with the interprofessional team, patient, family and care partners.
• Perform direct and indirect patient care activities as directed.
• Maintain a safe patient care environment.
• Assist with supplies and equipment to keep unit operations efficient.
• Conduct patient rounds, anticipate needs, and respond to call lights promptly.
• May serve as virtual safety associate and assist telehealth exams under supervision.
