Job summary

Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT). Under the supervision of licensed clinical team members, you will provide direct and indirect patient care and support telehealth encounters when needed.

You will collaborate with interprofessional teams, monitor patient rounds, maintain supplies, and ensure a safe care environment. The role requires high school diploma and knowledge of medical terminology; BLS certification on hire is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care needs.
• Ability to complete delegated tasks within scope of role.
• Understanding of effective communication concepts and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with and supports the interprofessional team, patient, family and designated care partners.
• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities as directed by licensed clinical team members.
• Maintains a safe patient care environment and ensures readiness of supplies and equipment.
• Conducts patient rounds and responds to patient call lights promptly.
• May assist with telehealth encounters and virtual safety monitoring as needed.
