Job summary

Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in Dallas, Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care. You will perform assessments, implement care plans, administer medications, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support optimal outcomes.

Requirements include a BSN, at least 1 year RN experience, Texas RN license, BLS/CPR within 14 days, and competence with RN I performance expectations. Relocation assistance up to $10,000 is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• At least 1 year of RN experience upon hire.
• Registered Nurse license in Texas upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required within 14 days.
• Competence in RN I performance expectations or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment & Care: conduct comprehensive assessments and notify physicians of significant changes.
• Care Planning & Coordination: develop, direct, and evaluate individualized care plans including education and discharge planning.
• Treatment Implementation: prepare patients for procedures, implement physician orders, ensure safety and medication administration.
• Ongoing Evaluation & Adjustment: reassess responses to interventions and communicate with physicians for changes.
• Effective Communication & Handoffs: perform bedside shift reports and provide thorough patient updates.
• Safety & Quality Assurance: maintain a safe environment and contribute to quality and patient satisfaction initiatives.
