Job summary

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine's Department of Cancer Biology seeks a Sr. Research Assistant to advance mechanistic and translational liver disease research, focusing on MASLD, MASH, and hepatocellular carcinoma.

The role involves in vivo, ex vivo, and in vitro models and close collaboration with the principal investigator. You will independently perform experiments, manage data, and contribute to study design while mentoring staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; seven years of relevant work experience can substitute.
• Experience with liver disease research and mechanistic/ translational studies is preferred.
• Ability to manage data, design experiments, and mentor staff as needed.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform experiments and record data per protocols.
• May oversee animal colony management and husbandry.
• Analyze results, interpret data, and judge validity.
• Organize data search and analysis procedures.
• Assist in designing data processing systems for research data.
• Contribute to project milestones and mentor staff as needed.
