Job summary

The NAB Leadership Foundation is seeking a Production Assistant to support live and recorded broadcasts. The role involves composing and framing camera shots, adjusting positions and lighting, and operating studio and remote cameras during live events.

You will set up equipment, test and maintain gear, and assist with creating graphics for the newscast. Strong communication and the ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Composes and frames camera shots, applying lighting, lenses and camera settings as directed.
• Adjusts camera positions to change focus, exposure and lighting as requested.
• Operates studio cameras during live broadcasts.
• Operates remote cameras during live broadcasts.
• Confers with directors and crew to discuss sequences and lighting requirements.
• Sets up cameras and related equipment.
• Tests, cleans, maintains and repairs camera equipment.
• Produces graphics for the newscast; creates graphics for the newscast.
