Job summary

The Columbus Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA) is seeking a Sound Technician for the Lincoln Theatre in Columbus. This on-site role supports live productions, collaborating with artists, stage managers, technicians, renters, and community partners to deliver high-quality sound for concerts, rentals, and events.

Responsibilities include setting up, testing, mixing, and maintaining front-of-house and monitor systems, troubleshooting on the fly, and ensuring safe operations throughout

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of documented professional audio experience required.
• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Demonstrated experience with live sound reinforcement and mixing.
• Dante or other networked-audio knowledge strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, patch, test, operate, and strike front-of-house and monitor consoles and related gear.
• Configure routing, EQ, dynamics, and monitor mixes per production plan.
• Troubleshoot audio systems during live events and escalate issues to Technical Director.
