About ThredUp

ThredUp is transforming resale with technology and a mission to inspire the world to think secondhand first. By making it easy to buy and sell secondhand, ThredUp has become one of the world's largest online resale platforms for apparel, shoes and accessories. Sellers love ThredUp because we make it easy to clean out their closets and unlock value for themselves or for the charity of their choice while doing good for the planet. Buyers love shopping value, premium and luxury brands all in one place, at up to 90% off estimated retail price. Our proprietary operating platform is the foundation for our managed marketplace and consists of distributed processing infrastructure, proprietary software and systems and data science expertise. With ThredUp's Resale-as-a-Service, some of the world's leading brands and retailers are leveraging our platform to deliver customizable, scalable resale experiences to their customers. ThredUp has processed over 172 million unique secondhand items from 55,000 brands across 100 categories. By extending the life cycle of clothing, ThredUp is changing the way consumers shop and ushering in a more sustainable future for the fashion industry.

Recognized on TIME's Best Inventions 2024, TIME's Most Influential Companies of 2023, Digiday's WorkLife 50 2023, TIME's Best Inventions of 2022, and Lattice's People Success Awards 2022.

The Role

ThredUp is turning secondhand browsing into a live, shoppable experience - buyers don't scroll a feed, they watch a real person pull real inventory in real time. We're building ThredUp Live, and we need a strategist, producer, and coach to build it from the ground up. As strategist, you'll decide which hosts we sign, what inventory goes into a show, and where we place our next bet. As producer, you'll ensure every show has the right pieces, pricing, and pace to convert. As coach, you'll turn each show's results into the next one's improvement. This is a rare opportunity to build a new business line from zero to one: the kind of entrepreneurial, high-ownership role where you help define the future of secondhand fashion.

In This Role You'll Get To
  • Design and execute strategies for a zero-to-one live selling channel
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for live sellers, managing end-to-end live planning, day-to-day communication, execution, and ongoing performance coaching to elevate live outcomes
  • Analyze live selling performance metrics and deliver data-driven, actionable insights to optimize content strategy, inventory merchandising, and conversion
  • Act as the main point for live sellers, overseeing live planning, production, and communication
  • Identify growth opportunities within seller portfolios to enhance live commerce.
  • Stay updated on live trends, collaborating with teams to align promotions with broader initiatives
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with 3+ years in ecommerce, social media, influencers/UGC partnerships, social media, or live streaming platforms
  • Proven business development and sales track record in live-streaming or influencer marketing
  • Excellent communication skills; you can pitch prospective hosts and present results to senior leadership with clarity and conviction
  • Experience working in ambiguity, achieving results in a fast-paced environment, and continually adapting to changing business needs
  • Strong analytical skills: own performance metrics, build reporting, and translate data into a clear point of view
  • Comfortable in a warehouse environment: on your feet, handling inventory, moving at a fast pace
  • Interest in fashion tech, secondhand fashion, and sustainability strongly preferred
Schedule
  • Able to commute to ThredUp's Atlanta or Dallas area distribution centers 3-4 days per week
  • Flexible shift structure: shows are scheduled based on peak viewer traffic and may require some morning, midday, evening, and weekend show times
  • Expect 2-3 shows per week to start, with more added as we ramp the program

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

What We Offer
  • 4-day work week, with Fridays off
  • Hybrid work environment: 3 days in the office and 1 day remote each week
  • Competitive salary (we leverage market data)

  • Employee stock purchase plan
  • Flexible PTO (take the time you need) + 13 company holidays
  • Paid Sabbatical after 3 years of full time employment
  • Generous paid parental leave for new mothers and fathers
  • Medical, dental, vision, 401k, life and disability insurance offered

We believe diversity, inclusion and belonging is key for our team

At ThredUp, our mission has been built on extending the lives of millions of unique clothing items. Much like our inventory, we are proud to have fostered a workplace that is one-of-a-kind. As a company focused on diversity, inclusion and belonging, we are committed to ensuring our employees are comfortable bringing their authentic selves to work every day.
