Pilgrim’s is hiring for Live Receiving Nights to support the plant operations in Wisconsin. You will rotate through live hanging, crates, forklift driving, and provide back-up to finishing machines while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires standing for long periods, good communication, adaptability, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment. Forklift experience is preferred, with required respirator and vision testing where applicable.

Formación

• Ability to stand and use hands for up to 8–10 hour shifts.
• Ability to follow basic instructions and communicate effectively.

• Good hand/eye coordination and situational awareness.
• Forklift operation is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Back-Up Stabber: monitor kill machine to ensure birds are properly killed before scalding.
• Drawer Inserter: place drawers and detect defects in drawers and MODs during insertion.
• Live Hang: deliver birds to line at 26 birds per minute using correct hanging techniques.
• Rotate within department and support varying production demands.
• Train others with skills gained from position.
• Observe safety and food safety policies and maintain a positive team atmosphere.
• Identify incidents and safety risks and enforce safe work habits.
• Participate in process improvement and problem solving.
• Follow company animal welfare guidelines.

Live Receiving Nights

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: The Live Receiving Worker will rotate within the department. Rotation could include live hanging, crates, forklift driver, and backup to the finishing machine.

Responsibilities:

• Back-Up Stabber: Monitor the kill machine and ensure all birds are properly killed before going into scalding.
• Drawer Inserter: Place empty drawers from the output conveyor into the MODs and detect defects in both drawers and MODs during the insertion process.
• Live Hang: Deliver birds to the line at a rate of 26 birds per minute using proper hanging techniques in accordance with Pilgrim’s Animal Welfare Policies.
• Flexibility to work in changing environment and adjust to various production demands.
• Trains others with the skills and knowledge gained from position.
• Observes all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies. Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work effectively and cooperatively with co-workers and leadership teams.
• Recognizes and acts on incidents and safety risks. Consistently practices and enforces safe work habits throughout the organization.
• Participates in process improvement and problem solving utilizing continuous improvement and rational thinking methodologies.
• Follow all company animal welfare guidelines.
• Other duties as directed.

What You’ll Need:

• Ability to stand and use hands for up to 8 to 10-hour shifts.
• Ability to apply common sense and comprehend basic instructions.
• Ability to effectively communicate with others.

• Must be observant and highly responsive.
• Excellent hand/eye coordination.
• Ability to operate a forklift preferred.
• Ability to pass PFT Respirator testing
• Ability to pass vision testing if needed.
