Job summary

Six Flags Great America & Hurricane Harbor is seeking a Parade Production Coordinator to oversee the design, construction, and installation of technical aspects for live entertainment parades. You will lead a crew, coordinate with maintenance, and ensure parades run on time with guest safety in mind.

The role requires 18+ with a valid license, outdoor work in varying weather, and strong teamwork and communication skills to manage diverse departments and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Shifts vary with department needs.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• Must be able to stand/walk for the duration of the shift.
• Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must be professional, self-motivated, able to multi-task with enthusiasm.
• Must have strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with others.

Responsibilities

• Work as a member of the area as needed.
• Communicate effectively, think quickly under pressure, and motivate the crew.
• Understand responsibilities for all positions under supervision.
• Develop and maintain staff schedules for the assigned area.
• Collaborate with other departments as needed.
• Create procedures to ensure smooth operation of the area.
• Develop procedures for upcoming projects and parades to run smoothly.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to inspect parade floats and vehicles for daily use.
• Execute approved design ideas as approved by Entertainment Production Team.
• Ensure parades start on time with a guest-first mindset.
• Act as a resource for the team.
• Navigate around scenic elements in production spaces.
• Hold regular crew meetings to share information from management.
• Monitor team performance and provide coaching or corrective actions.
• Complete paperwork for department and park.
• Ensure shows elements stay maintained and safe.
