Job summary

Six Flags Great America & Hurricane Harbor is seeking a skilled technician to support live events and performances inside the park. You will operate light boards, audio consoles, and special effects equipment, ensuring shows run on time and as designed by management.

Responsibilities include basic troubleshooting of sound, lighting, and effects, assisting in rehearsals, and maintaining a safe, clean venue. Must be comfortable working outdoors and lifting up to 50 pounds; 18+ age requirement.

Qualifications

Minimum age 18.
Knowledge of technical theater, including safety, audio and lighting systems, special effects, maintenance and repair.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for the length of shift.
Must be able to work with ladders, scaffolding or lifts.
Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Must be professional, self-motivated, able to multi-task with enthusiasm.
Must have strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with others.

Responsibilities

Operate light board, audio console, and special effects for shows and events.
Perform shows on time and as designed by management.
Execute cues as set by Production Staff and Management; show direction must be followed.
Provide basic troubleshooting and maintenance for sound, lighting, and effects systems.
Involve in rehearsals and operation under Production Staff direction.
Navigate around scenic elements in potentially dark spaces.
Train new personnel as needed.
