Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of 8–13 students living in the home.

Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty, then three days off, with a pathway to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same student group. Compensation includes per-person salary, free housing, meals on duty, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married for at least two years.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid U.S. driver\'s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship for 8–13 students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.

Skills
