Job summary

Fox Television Stations in Dallas is seeking a Production Automation Technician for an 8-week temporary assignment to support live news broadcasts at the new facility.

You will operate the Sony ELC Production Automation System, production switcher, audio console and robotic cameras, collaborate with newsroom staff, and adapt to shifting live-air demands. The pay range is $24.80-$43.98 per hour.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree in Electronics or IT is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1 year of experience in Production Automation Technician or related roles.
• Working knowledge of Windows OS, iNews, and core broadcast software.
• Hands-on proficiency with production automation system, switchers, audio boards, and robotic camera operation/shading.
• Strong multitasking, clear communication, teamwork, and staying calm under live-air pressure.
• Flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays as news demands require.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Sony ELC Production Automation System, production switcher, audio console, and robotic cameras during live broadcasts.
• Work with Producers, Studio Technicians, and Control Room Technicians to run fast-paced, high-volume newscasts.
• Perform essential studio duties and maintain floor readiness during live productions.
• Adapt to shifting priorities and late-breaking rundown changes in a high-demand market.
• Support the move and other operational duties to assist engineering and production teams.
