Job summary

NAB Leadership Foundation seeks a broadcast professional to direct live newscasts and collaborate with the production crew. You will design graphics for the newscast and help establish pacing and segment sequencing to meet time and accessibility requirements.

You will ensure smooth operation of the program during live broadcasts, handle last-minute changes calmly, and communicate clearly to all involved. You may also review promotions and maintain studio lighting levels while adhering to the

Qualifications

Directing live newscasts experience preferred.
Knowledge of transmission, broadcasting, switching, control and operations of television systems.
Ability to handle last-minute changes calmly and professionally.
Proven leadership and supervisory capabilities preferred.
Graphic design experience preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

Direct newscast and collaborate with production crew.
Design graphics for newscast
Establish pace of newscasts and sequences of segments according to time requirements and accessibility.
Ensure program runs smoothly during live broadcasts.
Handle last minute and unexpected changes in a professional, poised manner during live broadcasts. Communicate calmly, quickly and clearly to all involved as needed.
Edit and encode daily episodic promotions and Network promotions.
Maintain adequate studio lighting levels.
Report to work on time and work established schedule/hours.
