Job summary

Univision Television Group, Inc. in Miami, FL seeks a full-time Television Camera Operator to shoot video and audio of news and other events for TV productions, both live and recorded.

Edit material to match scripts using non-linear editing on our facilities, or via mobile equipment from remote locations. Shoot and edit assigned and breaking news stories using ENG camera and non-linear editing equipment, with or without reporter.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of experience as television cameraman.
• Must be fluent in written and spoken Spanish.
• Must know how to use P2 and XD cameras.
• Must be knowledgeable in AVID, Premiere and Final Cut.
• Must know LiveU technology.
• Must have experience covering live developing news in the field.
• Must have experience with television news networks.

Responsibilities

• Shoot video and audio of news and events for TV productions, live or recorded.
• Edit material to match scripts using non-linear editing.
• Shoot and edit assigned and breaking news stories with ENG cameras.
• Provide pictures and short videos for Social Media platforms.
• Set up and operate microwave ENG trucks and LiveU equipment.
• Assist video editor in editing and preparing video for newscasts.
• Operate and maintain news vehicles and equipment safely.
• Upload video and pictures to the station’s website as needed.
• Monitor scanners in vehicles from news stories.
