Job summary
Univision Television Group, Inc. in Miami, FL seeks a full-time Television Camera Operator to shoot video and audio for news and events, live or recorded.
Edit material to match scripts using non-linear editing on our facilities or via mobile equipment from remote locations. Must have experience with ENG, LiveU, and Live production workflows; knowledge of AVID, Premiere, and Final Cut is required.
Qualifications
- Fluent in written and spoken Spanish.
- At least 1 year of experience in television camera operation.
- Proficient with P2 and XD cameras.
- Knowledge of AVID, Premiere and Final Cut.
- Experience with LiveU technology.
- Experience covering live developing news in the field.
- Experience with television news networks.
Responsibilities
- Shoot video and audio of news and events for TV productions, live or recorded.
- Edit material to match scripts using non-linear editing on facilities or mobile equipment from remote locations.
- Shoot and edit assignments and breaking news using ENG camera and non-linear editing equipment.
- Provide field footage for Social Media platforms.
- Set up and operate ENG trucks and LiveU equipment.
- Assist video editor in editing and preparing video for newscasts.
- Operate and maintain news vehicles and equipment safely; do routine maintenance and light troubleshooting.
- Upload video and pictures to the station’s website; monitor vehicle scanners.
