Job summary

Mondrian Alpha is seeking an engineer who lives between trading systems and the market, translating complex behavior into reliable, real-time operations where every tick matters to performance and risk controls.

You will own the electronic trading stack in live markets, diagnose issues across connectivity, order flow, and execution under pressure, and build tooling to observe the environment and reduce surprises, while collaborating with traders and other engineers.

Qualifications

• Deep technical understanding of electronic trading including order lifecycle and connectivity.
• Scripting or programming ability to build your own tools (Python common).
• Linux fluency and strong systems troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to discuss technical topics credibly with traders and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical operation of the electronic trading stack in live markets.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across connectivity, order flow, and execution in real time and under pressure.
• Build tooling and automation to improve observability and reduce surprises.
• Work closely with traders, engineers, and external counterparties on technical details.
• Hold and extend the institutional knowledge of how these systems actually behave.
