Job summary

SFJAZZ seeks an experienced Lighting Technician, On-Call, to provide on-site lighting support for Artistic, Education, Development, and Rental performances at SFJAZZ Center. Work under the Lighting Designer and Technical Director, operating the GrandMA3 console and related systems.

Responsibilities include programming, instrument hang/focus, post-show restoration, and collaboration with visiting designers and rental clients. Evening/weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Design and program lighting for Artistic, Education, Development, and Rental performances/events.
• Hang and focus lighting instruments per repertory plots and restore fixtures post-show.
• Assist Lighting Designers and venue clients with lighting needs.

Responsibilities

• Create lighting designs and operate the console for performances/events.
• Hang, focus, and restore fixtures per the light plot after each show.
• Assist house and visiting designers to implement their lighting designs.
