Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is hiring full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus homes, supervising and mentoring a group of 8–13 students while managing daily routines and activities. The role exchanges into a placed houseparent later, living with the same students.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role; couples married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
