Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. In this unique role, couples reside in on-campus homes and provide supervision and support for 8-13 students.

Responsibilities include daily supervision, coordinating routines, administering medications, driving and engaging in activities, leading devotions, and managing household reporting. The position begins with a nine-on / three-off schedule and can transition to a placed houseparent.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• Drivers license and ability to certify to drive student home vans.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning/devoting in development and recreation.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
