Job summary

Milton Hershey School seeks a married couple to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents on campus in Hershey, PA. The role involves living in on-campus student homes and providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students, creating a family-like environment to foster academic, emotional, and social growth.

Responsibilities include daily supervision, housing routine management, medication administration, and coordinating activities.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for married couples.
• Both spouses age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
