Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is seeking Full-time Flex Houseparents—an on-campus, two-person role for married couples to supervise and support 8-13 students, guiding their academic, emotional, and social development.

The schedule features nine days on, three days off, with progression to a Placed Houseparent. Compensation is $46,917 per person plus housing, meals while on duty, and benefits; relocation assistance and paid training are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental and recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel activities.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
