Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, supervision, and support for 8-13 students, helping create a structured family-like environment for academic, emotional, and social development.

The position begins with nine days on, three off, with eventual placement into a permanent home. Benefits include salary per person $46,917 plus housing, meals during duty, comprehensive health

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Committment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
