Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is hiring married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus homes, supervising 8–13 students to foster academic, emotional, and social growth.

A nine-on/three-off schedule leads to a placed houseparent role with ongoing student assignments. Salary is $46,917 per person with total compensation around $180,000 per couple, plus comprehensive benefits, relocation support, and paid training.

Qualifications

• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and oversee student wellness.
• Plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
