Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks married couples to join as Full-time Flex Houseparents. You will live on campus, supervise a group of 8–13 students, and support their academic, emotional, and social growth in a family-like home.

Responsibilities include mentoring, daily routines, medications, transportation to activities, devotions, and budgeting. The role begins with nine days on, three off, with eventual placement in a dedicated student home.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couple role with at least two years married.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Pet restrictions: fish and one dog of approved breeds.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Ability to lead daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (no proselytizing).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff are role models.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities.
• Leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel attendance.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
