Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA is hiring married couples as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8-13 students in a family-like setting, fostering academic, emotional, and social growth.

The role includes daily supervision, household management, devotions, and transportation to activities, with a nine-on/three-off schedule as you begin and a path to a placed Houseparent role.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth
• Two-person role for couples married at least two years
• Both spouses aged 27 or older
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities and planning developmental/recreational activities
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
