Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking a Residential Community Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of a residential area, supervise staff, and provide outreach to students in a safe living-learning environment.

The role involves collaboration with Housing Operations and the Division of Student Affairs, including collateral assignments and 24-hour on-call duties, with a full-time, live-in arrangement.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration with campus partners.
• Experience supervising student staff and leaders.
• Knowledge of student development theories and DEI principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage operation of residential community serving 280–475 students.
• Supervise student leaders and provide guidance for housing staff.
• Provide individualized support to residential students.
• Participate in collateral assignments supporting Housing Operations, Student Conduct & Restorative Practices, and related initiatives.
• Support the Division of Student Affairs and ensure compliance with campus policies.
• Participate in 24-hour on-call duty rotations.
