Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. invites applications for a Director of Residence Life to lead Schreiner’s on-campus housing program. This live-on leadership role ensures a learning-centered living environment supporting academic, personal, and spiritual growth, with a team of live-in staff and students.

Responsibilities include strategic planning, supervision of housing staff, program development, and cross-department collaboration to enhance student success and safety in campus housing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required in College Student Personnel or related field.
• 3-5 years of Residence Life experience required.
• Experience supervising full-time professional staff.
• Experience with budgets and financial management, facilities management, housing assignments/occupancy management, and judicial affairs.
• Must be available to live-on campus in university provided housing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning and direction of all university housing including occupancy goals and contractual compliance.
• Direct supervision, evaluation and training of professional staff and student staff.
• Foster learning environment and collaborate with student life and academic affairs.
• Develop and oversee community-based programs for on-campus residents.
• Collaborate with other student life staff to provide educational programming.
• Produce reports for the Department and Student Services Division.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and sensitive information.
• Update Residence Life policies and housing documents.
• Coordinate with Campus Operations on housing renovations and maintenance.
