Job summary

The Research Foundation of The City University of New York (RFCUNY) invites applications for the Resident Coordinator (Office of Residence Life) at Lehman College in the Bronx. The role supports daily residence hall operations, supervises RA staff, and coordinates safety protocols.

We seek a bachelor’s degree with four years of related experience; a master’s degree is preferred. Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Four years of related professional experience in higher education, student affairs, residence life, housing, or a related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of student personnel administration, residential program management, student development, group and organizational dynamics, and crisis response.

Responsibilities

• Train, supervise, and evaluate Resident Assistant staff; monitor duty schedules and provide ongoing supervision.
• Oversee residence hall operations, including room assignments, health and safety inspections, and billing processes.
• Coordinate residence hall opening/closing procedures and on-call rotation; respond to emergencies and wellness checks.
• Provide crisis intervention and emergency response per established protocols.
• Maintain accurate records related to student concerns, incidents, conduct matters, and residence hall operations.
