Job summary

Nebraska Wesleyan University seeks an individual to serve as a Residential Education Coordinator in Lincoln, NE. This full-time, live-on role supervises residential communities, coordinates staff, and responds to student needs in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include crisis response, staff development, on-call duty, and collaboration on housing and PA recruitment. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and commitment to inclusive communities are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred with knowledge of student development in residential settings.
• Experience in residential education, growth mindset, inclusivity demonstrated.
• Ability to mentor students, work independently, and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee residence hall management, staff training, student concerns, and crisis response.
• Directly supervise 6–12 Peer Assistants with regular meetings and training.
• Participate in 24-hour on-call rotation for approximately 800 students.
• Serve as outreach coordinator and referral agent for campus and community resources.
• Hearing officer for student conduct cases with adjudication and follow-up.
• Build inclusive communities, celebrate diversity, and contribute to department projects.
• Develop social and educational programming and housing assignments.
• Address student and parent concerns to resolve them promptly.
