Job summary

San Diego State University seeks a Residence Hall Coordinator to join our Residential Education Office and help create a vibrant, inclusive living-learning experience for students.

In this live-in role, you will supervise a team of 8–22 Resident Advisors and Community Assistants, support student well-being, and coordinate daily residential operations while providing crisis response and conduct coordination on campus.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree strongly preferred in a related field.
• Minimum two years of professional student services experience.
• Experience supervising student staff and defining roles.

Responsibilities

• Foster a welcoming residential community through student engagement and programming.
• Supervise and mentor a team of 8–22 Resident Advisors and Community Assistants.
• Provide student guidance, conduct meetings, and referrals to campus services.
• Coordinate daily residence hall operations including safety and facilities needs.
• Serve as Conduct Coordinator and University Judicial Officer for behavioral concerns.
• Participate in 24-hour on-call duty rotation for crisis response.
