Job summary

Westside Federation of Senior & Supportive Housing seeks an experienced Superintendent to manage on-site maintenance, cleaning, and resident safety. You will supervise handyman, porter, and cleaning staff, ensuring timely, high-quality work while coordinating with department heads to maintain a respectful, safe environment for residents and staff.

The role is LIVE IN, on-site five days a week, with emergencies covered as needed.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma is required.
• Minimum 5 years of building maintenance experience, preferably as a Superintendent.
• Experience with painting, boiler maintenance, electrical, plumbing, HVAC.
• S12, S13 and S95 certificates are required on hire.
• S13 and F01 certificates preferred before 90-day probation ends.

Responsibilities

• Supervise handyman, porter and housekeeping staff to maintain a clean, safe building.
• Coordinate with department heads to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
• Ensure tenant work requests are responded to within 24 hours, and emergencies are addressed immediately.
• Prepare reports and maintain maintenance logs and records.
• Assist with procurement of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
