Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons is seeking a Standby Maintenance Technician to join our on-site team in Lansing, MI, living in a company-provided apartment and responding to after-hours emergencies on a rotating basis.

Role requires completing work orders per policy and procedures while maintaining a professional appearance and residents’ satisfaction. EPA/CPO certifications preferred; HVAC and plumbing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous multi-family property maintenance experience preferred.
• EPA certification required (or obtain within 120 days of start) via company training.
• HVAC experience strongly preferred; CPO and pool maintenance skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall maintenance of the apartment community and day-to-day operations.
• Evaluate, prioritize, and resolve work orders per quality standards.
• Perform plumbing: pipe fitting, shut-offs, sink replacement, faucet installation, disposal work.
• Troubleshoot HVAC, furnace, water heater, boiler issues.
• Repair appliances, electrical switches and outlets, light fixtures.
• Carpentry: replace doors, jambs, drywall, trim, caulking, steps.
• Tile repair and bathroom upgrades; monitor stock of parts.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
