Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of about 8–13 students, helping them grow academically, emotionally, and socially.

The schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with progression to a placed houseparent role.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person couple role for married spouses with at least two years of marriage.
• Both spouses aged 27 or older and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Clean driving record and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Plan and engage in developmental and recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
